2015年是洛杉磯華人教會成立整整55周年,撫今追昔,飲水思源,讓我們不要忘記前人艱辛的耕耘和建造,更別忘記為我們創始成終的神和從祂那裡來的異象。

55年對我們而言意義非凡、 教會55年的發展和成就、 飽含著先賢們在建立教會上留下的艱辛和汗水、 承載著上帝的託付和福音使命、弟兄姐妹關心、支援和厚望、 凝聚著他們的聰明才智和愛心。正如大衛王所說：”耶和華是我的牧者，我必不至缺乏。”在這樣一個特殊的時刻，我們深深地感謝為這個教會嘔心瀝血、無私奉獻的先賢和前輩! 深深地感謝長期關注和支援，默默代禱同行和弟兄姐妹。深深地感謝所有曾經和正在為這個教會的建設和發展甘苦備嘗、矢志不渝的老一輩牧師和堂董會成員。今天的成就離不開你們的汗水和期望。

半百春秋,今逢盛世。我們有幸處在一個充滿機遇和挑戰的時代, 沐浴著新世紀的燦爛朝陽, 肩負著時代的福音重托。神的恩典數算不盡,正如使徒保羅所說:“然而,我今日成了何等人,是蒙神的恩才成的,並且祂所賜我的恩不是徒然的。我比眾使徒格外勞苦;這原不是我, 乃是神的恩與我同在。”(林前十五10) 我們深知,基督很快就要複臨,在這個特殊時代,我們仍忠心做上帝的兒女,熱心傳揚福音,直到主來。在以賽亞書55:10-11所說的:“雨雪從天而降, 並不返回, 卻滋潤地土, 使地上發芽結實, 使撒種的有種,使要吃的有糧。我口所出的話也必如此,決不徒然返回,卻要成就我所喜悅的,在我發他去成就的事上必然亨通。”

從今天開始,洛杉磯華人教會- 這艘福音的航船已駛出五十五年曆史的港灣, 開始新的遠航。

The Chinese SDA church in Los Angeles has celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2015!

As we worship and celebrate together we are mindful of all those of our brothers and sisters who worked so hard down through the years to establish a place of worship here.

Over the years they offered their talents and gifts, their time and energy to God in order to establish this holy sanctuary. So it with a deep sense of gratitude that we salute all previous pastors, board members and all who gave so much so we might have this opportunity to celebrate today in this our 55th year.

As we move into future days of mission to the Chinese community we are grateful for all that is past and trust Him for all that is to come.
We remember the words of Paul’’ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10) as we know that Jesus is coming soon in this particular time, we are preparing to welcome Him. “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

As we celebrate 55 years of work and witness, we extend our greetings to all our visitors, members past and present, and all who join with us. The song goes ‘’Our God is a Great God ‘’ and to Him be all the honor and glory now and in all time to come.
